Save the Forest By Somboon Muneewangsakul 21st Septemper - 5th November, 2011 To be president by M.R.Sukhumbhand Paribatra, Governor of Bangkok Wednesday 21st September, 2011 at 6.00pm-8pm. At 2nd Floor Sombat Permpoon Gallery Sombat Permphoon Gallery is proud to announce its latest exhibition "Save the Forest" by Somboon Muneewangsakul. The inspiration behind this exhibition comes directly from nature and all its wild, untouched beauty. No embellishments of the imagination have been added to the artists portrayal; it is all natural, depicted as it has been seen. The artist inspiration for this series of his work comes from the realization that forests existed before life as we know it did, and is the beginning of all existence. It is the source and constant of all other life forms, from enabling the fragile ecosystem we live in, to creating oxygen for us to breathe, and water to drink. Humans have benefited the most from the forest, without any need for compensation, but yet we continually abuse nature, through incessant logging and replacing trees growing in their their natural environment with trees that we think will be more beneficial for our monetary ventures. Somboon would like to create awareness and bring the environment issue to the public, hoping to wake the conscience of the public in the necessity of jungles to our existence. He believes human beings are the only ones that can conserve, and save the forest, and in turn, ourselves. For over 30 years, Mr. Somboon Muneewangsakul is the creator behind art works at notable venues around Thailand and beyond including, Le Royal Meridien Hotel, Grand Hyatt Erawan, Dusit Thani, Dusit Resort & Polo Club in Cha-Am, Royal Paradise Hotel in Phuket, Nikko Manila Garden Hotel in Manila, Philipines, Cabinet Assembly Hall at Government House, New Bumrungrad Hospital, Thai Airways International Co., Ltd...Etc,
